Career Goals: Work in the Portland area in creative design for a company that is forward thinking, fashionably focused, sustainably minded, and connected to the local community.
Inspiration for Collection: As a fifth generation sheep farmer, Sehnsucht: Lamb is inspired by my family’s heritage and the rich americana so present in “old west” hollywood like The Little House on the Prairie and The Man from Snowy River. I’ve drawn my colors from Rocky Mountain sunsets and arid landscapes across eastern Oregon and our country’s national parks. Sehnsucht has been referred to as “life’s longings”; or an individual’s search for happiness while coping with the reality of unattainable wishes: in other words, nostalgia for something we haven’t experienced. Taking style cues from Pendleton Woolen Mills and 1840’s silhouettes and riding habits, I aim to appeal to strong, independent, urban women who long for a bygone era.

Inspiration for Collection: Feedback. Let me take you back, for a second, back to when you turn on the tv and go to a channel. The channel doesn't come in and you're left with this terrible feedback or snowstorm. Many, if not all find this annoying and frustrating, while other get lost in the blur. Get lost with me through my collection and find the beauty in dots and confused images.
Favorite Designer(s): Claire McCardell for her simplistic, functional, and playful style. For childrens clothing I don’t have specific designers that I follow but I do follow different brands/companies. Some of those include: Recreate Store, REcreate designs, Eternal Creations, and SuperNatural Collections.
Career Goals: I hope to someday have my own children's boutique with my designs, all made from recycled fabric and textiles.
Inspiration for Collection: I find inspiration from used fabric, textiles, and vintage clothing. My focus is on keeping used fabric and textiles out of landfills and creating something new for young children.
Career Goals: My goal is to create fashionably competitive designs for plus size brands so that every person has the same opportunities to express themselves with their styles.
Inspiration for Collection: I want my designs to fill in the gaps missing from the current plus size industry options. I want plus size people who wear my designs to not feel limited, but unique and uplifted. This is why I chose a mix of boldly feminine looks and colors, blended edgy undertones, to create my line.
